Potential Help for Those Dealing With Property Damage

February 8, 2023

Parts of Stamford are suffering from an increase in property damage from high intensity storms. Some homes are dealing with repeated flooding issues. Western Connecticut Council of Governments (WestCOG) is working with FEMA on the Flood Mitigation and Project Management Assistance Program. It is a one-year pilot program offering technical assistance to property owners in several communities including Stamford.

According to WestCOG, 130 property owners in Stamford will be receiving a notice about a Flood Mitigation Information Meeting. It will be held at 7 p.m. on February 22 in Westport. There you will learn more about the program and see if you are eligible.
