New members of our House Democratic caucus were sworn in this week representing Hartford, Middletown and Stamford.

Special elections were held on a snowy last day of February to fill three vacancies in the House of Representatives.

Hartford City Councilor James Sanchez was selected by voters in the 6th Assembly District to replace Rep. Edwin Vargas who left for a fellowship at Central Connecticut State University. Rep. Sanchez works as a technician for the Metropolitan District Commission.
