$7.5 Million Approved for Manchester by CIF 2030 Board

March 20, 2023
Great news for Manchester!

Last week, the Community Investment Fund 2030 Board approved $7.5 million to revitalize our downtown and provide much-needed support for the infrastructure related to the library project, which was overwhelmingly approved by Manchester’s voters in 2022.

The breakdown of the funding is as follows:

  • $1.2 million to purchase land for the new library and parking on the east side of Main Street
  • $4.8 million for the new library, site and parking construction, demolition costs, and rehabilitation of current Mary Cheney Library for future use
  • $1.5 million for downtown streetscape improvements for “South Gateway” on Main Street

This is a vital investment in the heart of Manchester ahead of our new library. I appreciate the support of the Community Investment Fund 2030.
