Teacher Appreciation Day and Application to Join an Emergency Response Team

May 9, 2023

NATIONAL TEACHER APPRECIATION DAY

I support those who are there for our students every day. Take a moment to say thank you to all teachers for their time and dedication to educate our children. Teachers build up our communities and provide lasting contributions for generations.

What do you really need to feel appreciated and supported as an educator? From small gestures from students to sweeping policy change, tell us what would make a difference in your life as an educator. Text "Priorities" to 48744.

MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS HOTLINES

During Mental Health Awareness Month, it’s important to showcase the importance and spread the word of crisis hotlines, which can save lives!

⏳ The average speed of answer for Lifeline calls is approximately 45 seconds.

🚑 Crises are typically de-escalated on the call and do not involve emergency services.

📱 The majority of callers were significantly more likely to feel less depressed, less suicidal, less overwhelmed, and more hopeful after speaking with a counselor.
