The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced a right lane closure on the I-95 northbound Gold Star Memorial Bridge in New London and Groton began May 1, 2023.
The closure is part of a rehabilitation project that consists of strengthening the truss approach spans of the Gold Star Memorial Bridge. This work began February 28, 2022, with an anticipated completion date of June 25, 2025.
The lane closure will be maintained with a combination of construction signs, traffic drums, and other traffic control devices.
Motorists are advised to use caution and maintain a safe speed when driving through work zones.
