| This afternoon I was greeted with the wonderful news that the S.T.E.P.S. organization in Groton was part of a $13 million grant to 110 organizations to provide learning opportunities to children in the summers of 2023 and 2024 as part of the Connecticut Summer Enrichment Program.
S.T.E.P.S. - which stands for Striving Toward Empowered Personal Success - aims to lift up adolescent girls in Groton by developing their self-efficacy, self-esteem, and leadership.
The organization will receive $50,000 in both 2023 and 2024, for a total of $100,000 in funding. |
