I am incredibly proud of the members of the Windham Partnership to Reduce the Influence of Drugs for Everyone (PRIDE) team who graduated from the academy last week. They received scholarships from a grant I was able to award them through the Town of Windham and the Willimantic Police Department.

I applaud the work these incredible, young scholars are doing to raise awareness for their friends, family, and the rest of the community. This group is also developing risk assessment, decision making, interpersonal, and communications skills while teaching our youth the alternatives to substance use. They deserve recognition for learning skills to create sustainable change in Windham and beyond!
