I am excited to share that Governor Ned Lamont held a ceremonial swearing-in for new judges and magistrates yesterday in which, Danbury native, my friend, mentor, and constituent, Thomas J. Saadi, was sworn in as a Superior Court Judge. This incredible achievement is a testament to Tom’s dedication to serving others and unwavering commitment to justice.

As my mentor, Tom has played an instrumental role in guiding me to public service and success. Before being appointed by Governor Lamont, Tom served most recently as Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs and served on the Danbury City Council as Minority Leader for nearly two decades. Tom’s motto of responsive leadership has always guided my public service.

Tom Saadi's appointment as a Superior Court Judge is not only a personal achievement but also a victory for our community. As a judge, I know he will continue to uphold the values of fairness, impartiality, and integrity-- all of which are essential to our justice system. I am confident that he will continue to serve the people with distinction, just as he has done throughout his illustrious career.
