Help Requesting Claim For Tire Damage in Wilton

July 28, 2023

I’m encouraging everyone to file a claim if their tires were damaged or destroyed while driving in the paving project on Route 7 between I-84 and I-95 in Wilton. During the road work, pipes and sewer lines were sticking out of the ground causing crashes and damage. The construction has been disruptive to our community, and the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) should have done a better job making Route 7 safe.

I met with constituents on Wednesday night to show them how to file a claim with the CTDOT. I believe the CTDOT is responsible for the damage, should come to Wilton to hear our story, look at the claims, and reimburse drivers for tire damage. As your state representative, I will continue to push the CTDOT to do the right thing.
