Skilled Workforce Spurs Continued Economic Growth

September 13, 2023

A number of workforce development initiatives passed by the legislature this year will help Connecticut's economy continue to grow.

During the 2023 legislative session, we passed a number of measures to enhance and support our skilled workforce and help make our state more attractive for companies and new businesses.

These new initiatives targeted in demand diverse fields including education, aviation, healthcare, and first responders to help enhance our state's top-notch workforce.

One highlight of the work we accomplished this past session is Public Act 23-97, a multifaceted approach to helping workers move forward in medical-related fields.
