Hispanic Heritage Month

This month, starting today through October 15, we are celebrating Hispanic Heritage, a recognition of the rich culture and contributions of our Latino community across our nation. To read the White House proclamation please go here: A Proclamation on National Hispanic Heritage Month, 2023.

And Did you know? The Hispanic population in Connecticut is 551,916. In 2020, Hispanics made up more than 18% of the state's population, according to the most recent data by the U.S. Census Bureau. Between 2010 and 2020, there was a 30% increase in the Hispanic population across the state.
