Halloween is just around the corner, and I'm sure you are busy getting the kids ready for a fun night of trick-or-treating. Check out some of the awesome displays in Wilton below. 

As we approach November, temperatures are dipping -- especially at night. Now is the time to apply for home heating help. Please keep scrolling to learn more about this valuable resources.

Time is running out to register for the Legislative Internship Program. Session ramps back up in January. I'll break down how you can apply for this program that provides unforgettable hands-on experience.

    Home Heating Assistance
    Even though the weather is getting chillier, you still have time to apply for benefits through Connecticut’s Energy Assistance Program! The deadline to submit applications for the 2023-2024 winter heating season is May 31, 2024.
    Enrollment for the program occurs on an annual basis so even if you received assistance last year, you will need to re-apply. CLICK HERE for more information on eligibility and how to apply.
     
    Apply Now for the Legislative Internship Program

    The Connecticut General Assembly Legislative Internship Program is looking for new candidates! CLICK HERE if you are interested in joining the program for Spring 2024. The application deadline is November 1, 2023.

    The program offers Connecticut college students the opportunity to learn how state government works through first-hand experience in the legislative offices. Interns earn college credit for their work in the Connecticut General Assembly and gain exclusive access to the legislators and insight into the policy making process.

    Election Day Reminder
    Election Day is about a week away! The Office of the Connecticut Secretary of the State and I am hoping for a high voter turnout! Polls will be on open on Tuesday, November 7 from 6:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. Make sure to cast a vote in person or via absentee ballot!
     
    Veterans And Military Affairs Informational Hearing

    You're invited to attend an informational public hearing hosted by The Veterans And Military Affairs Committee so that local veterans, military personnel, family, and advocates share issues and or concerns related to Veterans and Military Affairs in our State.

    The hearing will be held on Wednesday, November 8 from 1 P.M. - 4 P.M. at the Legislative Office Building in Committee Room 2C. You may sign up to talk in person or online remotely. Use the QR code on the graphic below or CLICK HERE.

    It’s almost Halloween, and I have to say that Wilton is impressing me with all the spooky decorations! Check out all the awesome displays especially the one in the doll cemetery. It’s right out of a Steven King novel!
    The tall, blue skeleton below is in my front yard. I had such a blast setting it up and getting it ready for the trick-or-treaters! It's one of my favorite nights of the year, and I'm looking forward to seeing all the amazing and creative costumes!
