This weekend we are honoring those who have served in the U.S. military for Veterans Day. Our heroes deserve to be recognized for their service to our country. Please read below to find a ceremony in your hometown.

The federal government is promoting a program that can help you save on home internet. Please read below to learn more and see how some applicants may get high-speed internet for free.

    Veterans Day Ceremonies
    The 42nd district will be thanking and honoring our heroes for Veterans Day. It’s a day to recognize the more than 19 million men and women who have served in the U.S. military. Please look below to see where you can pay tribute to our veterans this weekend.
    Wilton:

    James B. Whipple American Legion Post 86 will hold a Veterans Day ceremony on Saturday, November 11, at 10:30 A.M. at the Wilton Veterans Memorial Green along Center Street. All veterans and the Wilton community are invited to attend.

    New Canaan:

    A ceremony will be held at the Wayside Cross and the bottom of God's Acre on Saturday, November 11 at 10:45 A.M. The VFW, various town officials, and the Daughters of the American Revolution will participate in the ceremony.

    Help With Your Utility Bill
    Beginning on December 1, 2023, Eversource is offering a new electric bill discount if you have a financial hardship status on your electric account. Based on your household income or receipt of a public assistance benefit, you may be eligible for a 10% or 50% discount off your electric bill per month.
