Outpouring of Support Over Thanksgiving

November 29, 2024
I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving filled with warmth and moments of gratitude surrounded by good company. May the spirit of the holiday continue to bring joy and togetherness in the days ahead.

I am grateful for our amazing community that helped our most vulnerable during this time of need. I would like to thank all the individuals and organizations that stepped up to feed and support our families who needed assistance. Waterbury Alderman George Noujaim lead an effort to distribute more than 500 turkeys and fixings. Waterbury PAL hosted its annual Thanksgiving dinner for hundreds of local residents. La Casa Bienvenida supported our seniors with dinner and music.

I would also like to shoutout the Waterbury Fire Department for providing 65 turkeys and to CJR for bringing all the fixings to feed those in need. You all made Thanksgiving more memorable for thousands of people across Waterbury. Thank you for making our community such a great place to live!
