Leading the conversation on Connecticut’s housing reform

November 3, 2025

Dear Neighbors,

Connecticut Inside Investigator recently published a feature on the future of the state’s 8-30g housing law, and I was proud to be included among the voices calling for balance, transparency, and local input.

In it, I talk about why affordable housing must be done thoughtfully, with public safety, infrastructure, and true affordability in mind, not rushed through by developers exploiting loopholes.

As we approach the November 12 special session, I’ll keep engaging with the Governor’s office and legislative leaders.

This conversation is bigger than any one town, it’s about making sure housing policy works for our communities, not around them.

Thank you, as always, for staying engaged.

Sincerely,

Raghib Allie-Brennan
State Representative
