Dear Neighbor,
Today is Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. We're so grateful for the dedication, hard work, and personal sacrifices made by both our State Capitol Police and law enforcement officials throughout the state to keep our communities safe, day in and day out.

As some of you may know, I come from a police family. My grandfather, pictured below, was a police officer many years ago. He understood, like other officers who served before and after him, that this job requires many sacrifices. Families of officers know the uncertainties that come with the job, but this call to duty is what keeps us all safe.
Thank you to the Danbury Police Department – for all of your hard work to keep our community safe and welcoming.

The 2026 legislative session is set to begin in a month. To make sure we are prepared, the Danbury Delegation is holding a Pre-Session Town Hall to discuss which issues are most important to the residents of our city. We want to hear directly from you about what we can do to support the community.
The town hall will take place on Wednesday, January 21, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Western Connecticut State University Midtown Student Center, Room 202 (181 White Street).
This event is an opportunity to:
- Share input ahead of the upcoming legislative session
- Discuss any local or state issues on your mind
- Raise concerns or ideas you’d like me to be aware of
- Learn more about the legislative session
All Danbury residents are encouraged to attend. Click here to register.
Hope to see you there!

Sincerely,
Ken Gucker
State Representative
