With a record 12 national championships for the women and 6 for the men, this year's Final Four teams continued to cement Storrs as the college basketball capital of the world!

UConn also consistently ranks as one of the top public universities in the country, leading to a record 60,000+ student applications for the 2026-27 academic year.

And, it's not just basketball that competes for championships. UConn was the only college in the country this year to have both their men's and women's basketball and hockey program make their NCAA tournaments.
