Updates from State Rep. Gary Turco for March 24, 2026

March 27, 2026

I hosted a constituent coffee hour with local New Britain leaders at Alvarium last Saturday. As always at these events, there were great questions and issues raised.

Thank you to everyone who attended and I look forward to holding more in-person events soon.

Newington Day at the Capitol

Speaking of in-person events, Newington Day at the Capitol is less than two weeks away. Please see the details on the flyer below.

I hope to see you there!

Bravo, 'Seussical Jr.'!

Oh, the places you’ll go… when you step into "Seussical Jr."! 🎭✨

Last Saturday, I had such a fantastic time at this colorful, creative, and joy-filled performance put on by the Newington Children’s Theatre. From Whos to Horton, the energy, talent, and heart on that stage were absolutely incredible!

A huge congratulations to all the amazing young performers, the dedicated theater teachers, and the staff who made this show come to life. Your months of hard work truly paid off — it showed in every song, every dance, and every moment on stage. 👏

And a special shoutout to Mick Duffek for the brilliantly imaginative (and super fun!) set design — it felt like stepping right into a Dr. Seuss book!
If you missed it, don’t worry — there’s still time to catch the magic! 💥

They’ve got 4 more shows this weekend.
So grab your family, bring your friends, and go see the show — because a person’s a person, no matter how small … Newington Children's Theatre performers delivered BIG! ❤️🎶
