If you need a place to cool off, Plainville High School will be open from 1-8pm. The building will be air conditioned and available to residents who need relief from the heat. Please enter in the back of the building the Wood Gym Entrance.
Available at the high school:
- Air-conditioned space to cool down
- Charging stations for cell phones and other small electronic devices
- A children’s area with coloring sheets.
If you know someone who could benefit from these resources, please help spread the word.
If your power is out, please make sure you report it to Eversource. Reporting your outage helps ensure their system registers your location and dispatches crews where they are needed.
You can report an outage in several ways:
- Online: Report your outage using your 11-digit account number or the 10-digit phone number associated with your account.
- By Phone (Connecticut): Call 800-286-2000 and follow the automated prompts.
- By Text: If you’re already enrolled in Eversource text alerts, text OUT to 23129.
- Mobile App: Use the Eversource mobile app to report an outage and track restoration progress.
After reporting your outage, you can monitor the Eversource Outage Map for updates and estimated restoration times.
Please also remember to check on your neighbors, especially older adults, individuals with disabilities, families with young children, and anyone who may need extra assistance during the outage.
