The state is offering up to $500 right now to help residents in need with their energy bills. I'll let you know how to apply for this timely savings.
I was privileged to dress up as a Wise Man for Three Kings Day, an important tradition in our community. Please keep scrolling to see pictures from that event, which continues to touch the lives of our most vulnerable children.
Finally, local students at a technical high school showed off their skills during my recent visit. I'll show you how they're putting their knowledge into practice.
These are the sections in today's email:

| I would like to share an important resource that may help lower your energy bill. The Generation Power CT (GPCT) Emergency Energy Assistance Program, formerly known as Operation Fuel, is offering a one-time grant of up to $500 to help eligible Connecticut households cover electric, gas, or heating fuel expenses. You can apply for assistance now through Saturday, January 10. |
Households with up to 75% of the State Median Income may qualify. Approved applicants can apply their grant toward a future fuel delivery or use it to pay down a past-due utility bill.
To make the most of this once-per-year grant, GPCT strongly encourages households to apply when energy assistance is needed most.

| Celebrating Three Kings Day |
| The community came together for Three Kings Day, also known as El DÃa de los Tres Reyes Magos, to celebrate the Christian feast of Epiphany. To commemorate the visit, I dressed up as one of the Three Wise Men who visited the baby Jesus. |
| The celebration includes distributing toys to children in need, which was touching because this event may have been their only opportunity to receive a gift over the holidays. You can see in the picture below that they also received a free meal! |
| I am grateful to all the organizers, including that Casa Bienvenida, who continue to keep this beautiful tradition alive and create lasting memories for our children and families, including my own. |

| Tech Students Put Skills Into Practice |
I had the honor of spending time with students at W.F. Kaynor Technical High School, where we spoke about their hands-on classroom training and the real-world skills they're developing for future careers.
The students shared what makes their school so special, from dedicated instructors to practical learning environments, and also spoke about the additional resources that would strengthen their programs even further. |
| My colleagues, Rep. Ron Napoli and Rep. Larry Butler, joined me in meeting with students enrolled in robotics, culinary arts, and electrician training programs. As you can see in the pictures, these eager students are already putting their skills into practice, gaining valuable experiences that prepare them for good-paying, in-demand careers. |
| Visits like this highlight the importance of investing in career and technical education and ensuring our schools have the tools they need to help students succeed. The talent, focus, and pride these students bring to their work is truly inspiring. |
