Buses Replace Train Service Due to Flooding

Buses will replace service on Metro-North’s Waterbury Branch Rail Line through the end of the week after historic floods caused major damage on the tracks.

Waterbury Line service is suspended in both directions between Waterbury and Bridgeport until crews complete the necessary repairs. The Connecticut Department of Transportation has not provided a timeline on that.

Due to the road closures in the area, bus service will have to bypass the Seymour Station. Passengers are encouraged to seek alternate transportation, including the New Haven Rail Line.
