The Labor and Public Health Committee voted out of committee H.B. 7238 that supports the creation of a public health insurance option for small businesses and individuals. The legislation would allow small businesses and individuals to join the Connecticut Partnership Plan offered by the state.  By opening this plan to small businesses and the public we are providing additional affordable options for the people of CT and creating more competition in the healthcare market, which we expect will drive down costs across the board.

My priority is to support our middle class and small businesses, so here at the Capitol we are passing legislation that will make that possible.
