Local Tour

February 18, 2019

As the 2019-2020 session progresses, the legislative work at the State Capitol is in full swing and I am honored to be representing you in Hartford.

During the last few weeks, I have testified in public hearings, attended committee meetings and met with advocates on a variety of issues.

I want to thank you for your feedback during my first term.  Whether by email, phone or in person - you have educated me on many topics, given your opinion, provided your ideas and of course, your support. This has allowed me to serve you better and I hope to continue this communication stream.

As part of the work of addressing issues that are important to us, I had the honor of hosting our Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz for an official town tour that included:

  • The Stonington Police Station with First Selectmen and local Mayors to discuss local and state issues,
  • Our fishermen at the docks to listen to their fishing fleet concerns and
  • Grass & Bone to talk about the emerging culinary tourism industry.

This was a great opportunity to talk about local and state issues, and listen to concerns that will help as I work to address local legislative priorities.

Please continue to keep the lines of communication open as we shape the future of Connecticut together - I look forward to a productive legislative session and will keep you informed on the progress I make.
