It's a big weekend in Enfield - it's time to celebrate the 40th Annual Fourth of July Town Celebration! There's so much going on to celebrate - the parade, road race, the Taste of Enfield, a craft fair, entertainment, and, of course, the Sunday night fireworks spectacular.
I want to acknowledge the incredible effort it takes to get something like this off the ground each year. And each year, the non-profit Enfield Fourth of July Celebration Committee knocks it out of the park. Thank you for your dedication to this town tradition.
I'll share some information in this e-newsletter to help you make your way around the three-day event, including where to pick up the free shuttle and traffic detours. |
|
| First is getting there. This is an important change from previous years at the town celebration. Due to the pending sale of the Enfield Square Mall, the parking and shuttle location has MOVED. Free parking and a shuttle will now be available at Enfield High School. Look for the banners (pictured below) for pickup and drop-off spots in both the upper and lower lots. |

As the area where the festival is held can become congested, on-street parking can cause a problem when vehicles line both sides of the road, which can cause issues with emergency vehicle access. The Enfield Police Department will be taking measures to enhance safety to ensure emergency vehicles can access neighborhoods.
The following roads will have "no parking" signs on one side of the road during the town celebration:
- Alden Avenue
- High Street
- Summer Street
- Lincoln Street
- Enfield Avenue
- Park Avenue
- North Main Street
- D'Anunzio Avenue
- Belmont Avenue
Officers will enforce the parking restrictions and may tow vehicles found to be in violation.
Below, you'll find the notice for North Main Street's road closure from July 10-14, as well as the traffic advisory for Saturday.
