CT Education Association Report Cards Are Out!

August 6, 2024

I am honored to share that I made the Connecticut Education Association's honor roll.  Every year, the CEA releases a "Report Card" that evaluates legislators’ voting records, advocacy, and efforts to advance the organization's priorities over the two-year legislative cycle.

Investing in education is, in my view, the best economic investment we can make in our city's future. My commitment to this cause stems from my experiences volunteering in our public schools, where I saw firsthand the decline in quality due to inadequate city leadership. This, along with the lack of support for our teachers, led me to run for the Board of Education. I'm dedicated to enacting policies that benefit both students and support our dedicated teachers.

This year, I fought hard along with Mayor Roberto Alves to secure an additional $12 million in municipal aid—more than any other municipality in Connecticut—of which a vast majority will go to addressing the severe shortfall left by the previous city administration. My commitment to improving our school system is unwavering, as I believe Danbury's future depends on a strong educational foundation for our children.
