Earlier this week, I participated in the Coldest Night of the Year 5K walk - the first one held in Connecticut!
This walk is meant to serve as a reminder of the daily reality of our unhoused neighbors. It is also an opportunity to come together as a community to support services and resources for individuals seeking stable housing. Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and showed up for this cause. Let’s keep working toward real solutions to end homelessness! |

I was proud to stand alongside our constitutional officers and many of my colleagues as we reaffirmed our commitment to protecting the people of Connecticut. Attorney General Tong highlighted the serious harms our state has already faced in just the first month of the new Trump administration—and the steps we are taking to fight back. We are your firewall, and we will not back down! Every day, we will continue to stand up for Connecticut families and defend our rights, values, and future. |

The House was hard at work during session on Monday. We voted to approve $40 million in special education funding, passed legislation that will provide tax relief for permanently and totally disabled veterans, provided funding for organizations that provide services and support for the LGBTQ+ community, and more! |
|
Don’t forget about next week’s public hearings!
You need to register if you wish to provide testimony but that isn’t necessary if you want to observe the hearings. Tune in and watch them live on the committee’s YouTube channel.
Here is a look at this week’s schedule, including the bills that will be heard, in this week’s CGA Bulletin. |
