Dear Neighbor,

Happy Friday! The 2025 legislative session is underway. My colleagues and I have broken out into our respective committees and are making sure bills are ready for the next part of the legislative process.

Please see below to see what I've been up to in Hartford and in the 117th district!

Around the 117th District
On Tuesday, the West Haven Delegation had a meeting with Mayor Borer, Superintendent Cavallaro, and his team. We had a productive conversation about the future of special education and essential resources for West Haven schools. I am excited for our delegation to continue working with the Mayor's office to ensure every student has the opportunities they deserve!
On Wednesday, I attended the CT Nonprofit Alliance Legislative Forum, which was held at Marrakech, a non profit based in West Haven. I had the opportunity to listen and engage in meaningful conversations at the CT Nonprofit Alliance Legislative Forum. It was great to hear from passionate advocates and answer questions about the issues that matter most to our nonprofit leaders.
I had the honor of attending the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Dinner. This event celebrated the incredible individuals and businesses that make our community shine! A huge congratulations to this year’s well-deserved award winners!

At the Capitol
In addition to attending my committee meetings, I was also able to meet with members of the Child Tax Credit Coalition. We had an important discussion about how expanding the credit could provide much-needed relief to hardworking families across Connecticut.
