Standing Up for Local Oversight and Life Safety
August 19, 2026Today marked an important next step in work we’ve been doing to address concerns around emerging construction methods, life safety, and local oversight.
Alongside Insurance & Real Estate Committee Chair Kerry Wood and Housing Committee Chair Antonio Felipe, I convened the first meeting of our Emerging Construction Methods & Life Safety Working Group, bringing together Department of Administrative Services, local building officials, fire marshals, and insurance experts.
