Steve Winter

“I am honored to serve the people of Hamden and New Haven,” State Rep. Winter said. “I am ready to get to work and eager to work with colleagues to address the many challenges facing our residents. Together we can make our state a place where everyone can thrive.”

The swearing-in ceremony occurred in the House Chamber on Opening Day of the 2025 Legislative Session.

Steve serves as the City of New Haven’s Executive Director of Climate and Sustainability, where his team is focused on initiatives that both address climate change and directly improve residents’ lives.

Rep. Winter will serve on the Energy & Technology, the Finance, Revenue & Bonding, and the Planning & Development Committees.
