Dear Neighbor,

Public hearings and committee meetings have ruled the day, as they should. Our next session day is on Thursday. You can watch on CT-N.

Ahead of that, you're invited to join me for "Coffee with Rep. Wood" at Ciao Cafe, 825 Cromwell Ave., in Rocky Hill, on Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Please see the flyer below for more details, including registration.

You help me do my job at the Capitol. So I am counting on you to complete the survey below to help me do it even better!

Alzheimer's Action Day at the Capitol is coming up soon, and the AmeriCorps Connecticut Formula Process is open.

Please see the information for both below.

Have a great weekend,

Sincerely,

Kerry Wood
State Representative

Join me for Coffee on Tuesday

It's Survey Time

Alzheimer's Action Day is March 11th @ The Capitol

Approximately 80,000 people in Connecticut are living with Alzheimer's disease, and there are twice as many caregivers. Join us to meet advocates and hear their dementia stories at our Alzheimer's Association CT Chapter Advocacy Day, Wednesday, March 11th, 2026, in room 310 at the Capitol.

It's an exciting time in Alzheimer's research. Results from the Alzheimer's Association U.S. POINTER clinical trial found that two lifestyle interventions targeting a combination of physical activity, improving nutrition, cognitive and social challenge, and health monitoring improved cognition in older adults at risk of cognitive decline.

Come learn about the latest research and hear the stories of those living with Alzheimer's or other dementia along with the policy proposals that will help Connecticut families.

The registration link is on the flyer, but you can also do that right HERE or by email, also listed on the flyer.

AmeriCorps Connecticut Formula Process is Open

Serve Connecticut has announced that it is now accepting applications for AmeriCorps Connecticut Formula funding to support a single-state AmeriCorps program and planning grants operating in CT for the 2026-27 program year.

Please see the flyer below for more details.
