Walmart Wellness Day is on Saturday
Walmart is inviting communities to prioritize their health in the new year at Walmart Wellness Dayon Saturday, January 11 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.This community event provides free health screenings, free and low-cost immunizations, and the opportunity to talk with a local Walmart pharmacist at more than 4,600 stores nationwide, including the location in Rocky Hill at 80 Town Line Road.
During the event, affordable immunizations such as the flu, HPV, tetanus, hepatitis, and more will be available. Customers can also participate in free health screenings for blood pressure and more. Insurance is not required to receive a COVID-19 vaccination, which is available at no cost, and other vaccines are covered under most major insurance plans.
Rocky Hill-Glastonbury Ferry Launch Site ADA and Lighting Improvements Public Information Meeting January 28th
The Connecticut Department of Transportation will hold a virtual public information meeting concerning the Rocky Hill/Glastonbury Ferry Launch ADA and Lighting Improvements Project on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. This will provide the public and local community the opportunity to offer comments or ask questions regarding the proposed project. Ella Grasso Inauguration Celebration Moved to Wednesday, January 22nd
Wednesday marked the 50th anniversary of Connecticut Governor Ella Grasso's historic inauguration. A celebration event will take place on Wednesday, January 22 in Memorial Hall at the Connecticut State Library located at 231 Capitol Avenue in Hartford. Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz will talk about Ella's life and her incredible career in politics followed by fun interactive activities. You can register for the free event HERE.
