It was a good day to wear green. Yesterday, I voted yes on HB 5004, Connecticut’s commitment to reaching net-zero emissions by 2050. This bill sets bold climate goals, but it also takes a practical approach. It would establish the Clean Economy Council to develop strategies for advancing clean energy in a way that protects both our environment and our economy. From expanding solar and energy efficiency to supporting urban farming and green jobs, this is about building a future that’s cleaner, healthier, and more affordable. I know people are worried about rising electric bills, I am too. That’s why I’ll keep pushing to make sure climate progress doesn’t come at the expense of Connecticut families. |
