Candelaria Denounces Electricity Rate Hike Proposal
I am disappointed the United Illuminating Co. is considering a rate hike that will affect customers in the New Haven and Bridgeport areas. A public hearing will be held in New Haven on September 12 at 6:30 pm at the Kennedy Mitchell Hall of Records, Hearing Room G2, 200 Orange Street. I encourage consumers to voice their opinion against this plan. Connecticut’s electric rates are already extremely onerous and any increases are acutely felt by the communities served.
