This weekend, I joined Emma Wulfhorst on Fox 61’s Sunday Show “The Real Story” to discuss the critical work my colleagues and I are undertaking this legislation session.
As House Chairman of the Government Administration and Elections Committee, I discussed our work on constitutional amendments that would strengthen and enshrine anti-discrimination protections and environmental rights. I also explained our legislation to combat the rising threat of deepfakes in elections. Given the rise of artificial intelligence, videos, audio, or photographs falsely portraying a candidate or individual — created with the intent to deceive voters and influence elections — are more dangerous than ever before. Safeguarding the integrity of our democratic process is vitally important.
Additionally, as co-chair of the Reproductive Rights Caucus, I remain committed to protecting and expanding affordable access to reproductive healthcare. I discussed the Reproductive Rights Caucus's agenda this session, including strengthening our shield law, increasing funding, and ensuring the full spectrum of reproductive healthcare is accessible and affordable across the state.
Please watch the video to watch the entire interview, which aired this past weekend.
