I was proud to stand this week with my colleagues in recognizing Military Suicide Awareness and Remembrance Day to acknowledge the importance of providing services and support to our veterans and to anyone in their time of need.

I want to thank everyone who attended our after-session town hall meeting this week at Waterford Public Library. We're sorry to have missed Sen. Marx, who was feeling under the weather. I'm glad she's feeling better.

The session is picking up, as we are staying later most days and passing more bills each day. You’ll see a lot of that work mentioned below. Also, it may not be substantive legislative work, but the House Democrats snapped a three-year losing streak to beat the Republicans in the annual CGA Kickball Classic. Most important, proceeds from the event went to CT Foodshare.
