December is Universal Human Rights Month

December 4, 2019

It’s Universal Human Rights month! During this month and every month thereafter, you are all encouraged to stand up for equality, justice, and the dignity of all humans. This December, try to teach others about why human rights are important for everyone, and spread the word!

  • I will respect your rights regardless of who you are. I will uphold your rights even when I disagree with you
  • When anyone’s human rights are denied, everyone's rights are undermined, so I will stand up
  • I will raise my voice. I will take action. I will use my rights to stand up for your rights.

Yesterday was Giving Tuesday! Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving celebrated every year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. Even though Giving Tuesday has passed, there are still plenty of ways to get involved in your community! Pay it forward to someone or engage in an act of kindness.
