I was pleased to meet with Bill Murray, a retired Danbury educator and the current Vice President of Connecticut Education Association-Retired during Retired Teachers Lobby Day at the Capitol. Murray has advocated tirelessly to protect retirement pensions and benefits for Connecticut’s educators.

We must protect retirement benefits for our state’s educators, and we must work to fund teacher pensions in a way that is sustainable for our residents, but also just for retired educators.

Our educators have dedicated their time to ensure our students develop the necessary skillsets to grow into thoughtful leaders in their communities. Like our students, we must support our educators, who continue to give back during their retirement.
