Dear Neighbor,

I hope you have much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. It is a unique American holiday, celebrating our blessings. We gather with family and fiend to enjoy our meal together and share our love.

I count many blessings, including family, friends, constituents, and the liberty of living in a free state, and working to maintain a free country. May God bless our efforts and our land.

Thanksgiving also marks the beginning of a very festive holiday season. I suspect many of you will be rushing to be aa part of Black Friday. I hope you will also think of shopping in our many small businesses.

Small Business Saturday, which will take place on November 29 this year, shines a spotlight on locally owned businesses. It encourages folks to shop small and support their communities during the busy holiday shopping season.

By participating, you can find unique, personalized gifts while contributing to the local economy by keeping money within your community. Small Business Saturday fosters a sense of connection, strengthening neighborhoods and ensuring that local businesses, which are often the heart of their communities, continue to thrive.

If you or someone you know requires assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at the Capitol at 1-800-842-1902 or email me at Bob.Godfrey@cga.ct.gov.

Sincerely,

Bob Godfrey
