The next Emergency Energy Assistance cycle will be open from September 1st-15th. Generation Power CT (GPCT) has (3) application cycles: September 1-15, 2026; December 1-15, 2026; March 1-15, 2027. Applications are only open during these specific timeframes.

Back-to-school mornings can be hectic for families, getting everyone dressed, packed, out the door, and where they need to be on time. This school year, every Connecticut student can start their day with a free breakfast, thanks to the $12 million in funding we secured in the state legislature to provide universal free school breakfast throughout the 2026–27 school year.

I am proud to share that for the 2026 legislative session, I received a 100% voting score from the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters in its 2026 Environmental Scorecard.

In many ways, America at 250 years old is very much like America in its infancy: an imperfect country that has been gifted the tools to improve itself, and whose best qualities lie in the hope and promise that its reality will one day more closely reflect the ideals set forth in its founding documents. I believe in those ideals and I also believe in our ability and willingness to do the work to bring freedom, opportunity, and fairness to everyone.

The legislative session has wrapped up, and I’m proud of the progress we made, especially in the final stretch.

I don't know about you, but I'm still in disbelief over the UConn men's basketball team's victory over Duke last night. A huge, come-from-behind, 1-point victory capped by a miraculous, last-second 3-point heave from a freshman to send the Huskies to the Final Four.

Our nation lost a giant this week with the passing of Rev. Jesse Jackson. Rev. Jackson’s life was a testament to courage, conviction, and an unshakable belief in a more just and inclusive America.
