Yesterday, the House was in session, and we passed four critical bills. While you’ll see details on those bills in the e-news today, I want to draw attention to two I’ve been involved with most directly.

All Connecticut SNAP recipients have access to their FULL November benefits on their EBT cards.

Monday, I had the opportunity to spend time at the Avon Senior Center as the Department of Public Health, in conjunction with the Connecticut Aging and Disability Services Bureau of Aging to not only recognize National Alzheimer's Awareness Month and National Caregivers Month, but also to announce their new Caregiver Guide.

I wanted to share an extra e-news this week with all that is going on here, and as a result of Hurricane Melissa.

Halloween is right around the corner, and in addition to all the beautiful foliage, it's wonderful to see so many pumpkins and mums around town. I hope you're finding moments of joy like these scenes in your days.

Fall is the time of year when, as legislators, we start to set our priorities for the next session. I'm attending various information events, conferences, and connecting with other legislators on topics we may tackle during next year's short session.

The leaves are beginning to turn. There’s finally a little chill in the air today. And spooky season is right around the corner.
