Dear Neighbor,

I am excited to share with you the details of a documentary featuring Manchester veterans and their families. The film is directed by Manchester resident, Former Army Sergeant James Amaro, and produced by Sergeant Juan Morales (Ret).

Hometown Hero is an exclusive look into the men and women of Manchester who served our nation, and to the families who carry their legacy throughout our community to this day. The documentary features the Manchester Veterans Banner Program and The Wall That Heals, which visited Manchester in 2024.

This documentary tells the real stories of our community members who gave their all serving in the Vietnam War and recognizes their dedication to our nation. The film honors those who served, but also the Gold Star families, spouses, and children in our community who live with the lasting impacts of service and sacrifice.

Hometown Hero is an incredible and meaningful tribute. Thank you Sgt. James Amaro and Sgt. Juan Morales, for your dedication to this project and sharing the stories of Manchester veterans and their families.
