Rep. Dillon: Juneteenth Celebrations in New Haven

View this email in your browser Dear Neighbor, Tomorrow is Juneteenth, a holiday that marks the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates the resilience and contributions of the Black community. Let's continue to strive for equality, justice, and freedom for all. If you are looking to celebrate, there are a few upcoming events in New Haven. Juneteenth in the Plaza will be held tomorrow from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM. This free event will feature live music, food and other activities.  Then, on Saturday, June 20, the Descendants of the CT 29th Regiment will hold a Juneteenth celebration at the Dixwell "Q" House. Last but not least, the Peabody Museum will have a Juneteenth program next Saturday, June 27 from 10 AM - 3 PM.
