Dear Neighbor,
Happy Friday!

Don't forget, this weekend it's time to 'Fall Back'! and turn your clocks back an hour!

In this week's eblast, you can read about voting in Fairfield, an education scholarship from the state Treasurer's office, and more. You can click the links below to navigate between sections.

Cast Your Vote!

The election is mere days away, and now is the time to make sure you have a plan to cast your ballot!

Early voting is running now through Sunday, Nov. 3.

Early voting will be held at two locations. You may vote at either location:

  • Fairfield University Media Center (use the Barlow Rd. entrance and proceed to the first building on the left where there will be reserved parking)
  • Old Town Hall 2nd Floor Conference Room (611 Old Post Road)

The hours for early voting are 10am-6pm.

The hours for voting on Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 5) are 6am-8pm at your regular polling locations.

Remember: Your early voting location is not the same as your Election Day voting location. Click here to confirm your Election Day voting location.

Voting is one of the fundamental rights and responsibilities we have as Americans, and because of the law we passed during session, we're making it even easier to vote.

You can read more about voting at the Fairfield Registrars of Voters website.

2024 Sticks for Soldiers
The 2024 Sticks for Soldiers event is less than a month away! You can read below for more information:

Young Americans too often come back from foreign wars with life-changing wounds. As we carry on with our lives, they struggle for the rest of theirs.

To help ease that struggle, the Fairfield Ludlowe High School boys & girls lacrosse programs are hosting the 17th Annual Sticks for Soldiers Thanksgiving Lacrosse Classic on Saturday, November 30, 2024.

In 2023, 32 boys and girls teams, including over 500 high school athletes, raised over $60,000. In 17 years, over $1.2 million has been donated locally to wounded servicemen and women and their families.

When it can be easy to forget, this event raises awareness. For high school athletes, the chance to compete and raise money for wounded men and women just a few years older than themselves is impactful and unforgettable.

I hope you will consider attending this wonderful community event. To donate to this incredible cause, please click here.

CHET Dream Big! Competition

The state Treasurer's office is hosting their annual Dream Big! Competition, which gives K-12 students the chance to win up to $20,000 toward their education.

To enter, students answer a question in the form of artwork, an essay, or a video. Younger students focus on what they want to do when they grow up, and older students are asked to describe a lesson they’ve learned or a person who has impacted their lives.

The deadline to enter is Nov. 4To learn more, click here.
