CT School Rankings
I was thrilled to see Connecticut rank second in a recent report on the best school systems in the country!

The report recognized Connecticut's ACT scores (best in the country!), our AP students, our safety, and more.

As Vice Chair of the legislature's Education Committee, I know how amazing our school system is, and am committed to making them better every day. I'm so proud that we're doing right by our children and setting them up for success with a quality education.

Famous Fairfield Visitors Walking Tour
Check out the following info on the Fairfield Museum's newest walking tour about famous Fairfield visitors:

"Up until the mid-1800s, Fairfield was the center of the county’s civic and social life. Many famous visitors stopped in Fairfield, including John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Aaron Burr, and George Washington. By the time that the Marquis de Lafayette stops by in 1824, Fairfield was starting to change.

On Saturday, August 17 from 10:30 am to 12 pm, join a special guided tour to spend time in Sun Tavern (c. 1780) and discover the importance of taverns, learn more about the Burr Homestead, and explore the role that Fairfield played amidst Bridgeport’s tremendous growth in the 1800s."

Space is limited and registration is required for this event. The price is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Click here to register!

Jazz Fridays
Jazz Fridays at the Fairfield Museum are right around the corner! Every Friday in August new and talented musicians will visit the Museum Commons for a free concert for all from 6:30-8pm.

First off is The Brian Torff Group, who will join Friday, August 2! This concert series is a great way to kick off the weekend with your family, and I hope you'll check it out!

I'm committed to ensuring your voice is heard. Please don't hesitate to call my office at (860) 240-8585 or email me if there's anything I can do for you. Be sure to follow @LeeperForFairfield on Facebook and Instagram to stay up-to-date on everything I'm doing at the Capitol.
