Dear Neighbor,

The CT Department of Transportation is currently holding a Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study on I-95 Stamford - a route I know many of you take that has long been plagued with traffic.

The study aims to improve safety and mobility on I-95 between Interchanges 7-9 and to develop concepts to replace the I-95 bridge over Metro-North Railroad and Myrtle Avenue.

This week, the DOT is holding two public information meetings for people to engage with project team members, review the conceptual alternatives, and receive a presentation on the study's progress, alternatives screening process, and next steps.

The first meeting will be tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 10 from 6-8pm at the Ferguson Library 3rd Floor Auditorium (1 Public Library Plaza, Stamford). The presentation will take place at 6pm.

If you would rather attend virtually, the Zoom meeting will be Thursday, Dec. 11, from 11am-12:30pm. You can register for the virtual meeting here.

While we may not live in Stamford, this highway interchange affects many of us every day on our morning and evening commutes and during our regular travel, and I encourage you all to attend one of these meetings and have your perspective heard!

I'm committed to ensuring your voice is heard. Please don't hesitate to call my office at (860) 240-8585 or email me if there's anything I can do for you. Be sure to follow @LeeperForFairfield on Facebook and Instagram to stay up-to-date on everything I'm doing at the Capitol.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Leeper
State Representative
