Dear Neighbor,

Happy Friday!

This Wednesday, I was proud to be sworn in for a third term as your State Representative in the Connecticut General Assembly.

I am always humbled by the honor of being in this grand building charged with the responsibility of representing our community. This responsibility is even greater this year as I am tasked with leading on education policy for all of our state’s children. I’m so thankful to have had my family by my side as I took my oath of office.

I was also thrilled to start off the session with a legislative town hall with the Fairfield delegation!

These events are so important to the work I do for you at the Capitol. I take all of your concerns and ideas with me to Hartford, and I hope you'll continue reaching out and making your voice heard.

Resources for the Upcoming Session

It's easier than ever to follow along and get involved in our legislative session. There are several resources you can utilize that will help you stay updated on our work as it unfolds in Hartford.

Here's how you can stay connected and actively participate:

  • The Office of Legislative Research (OLR) provides nonpartisan and unbiased research to members of the General Assembly and their staff. Part of their duties include writing bill analyses, which are summaries of bills in plain language. Click here to check out their website.
  • In addition, OLR recently published the 2025 Major Issues report, which summarizes key issues the legislature could take up during session.
  • You can view the Connecticut General Assembly's upcoming events by checking out its schedule on the CGA official website
  • Follow CT-N for live coverage of committee meetings, as well as House and Senate floor debates.
  • You can register to monitor any bill's journey as it goes through the legislative process. By signing up, you can enter the bill number and receive real-time updates. Stay informed with email notifications whenever there's a change in the bill's progress.
  • Visit this website for information on how to testify on a bill at a public hearing.

I'm committed to ensuring your voice is heard. Please don't hesitate to call my office at (860) 240-8585 or email me if there's anything I can do for you. Be sure to follow @LeeperForFairfield on Facebook and Instagram to stay up-to-date on everything I'm doing at the Capitol.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Leeper
State Representative
