Fairfield young people asked to shape state policy

October 29, 2019

Fairfield high school and college students can join a new Youth Advisory Council. Members of the council will share ideas and input on a variety of policy proposals – some of which may come directly from a council member’s life experience or an area of interest.

The Youth Advisory Council will provide members with the opportunity to serve their community and learn about the legislative process. Council members will engage in meaningful debate about how best to solve community issues through state policy and advocate for those policy solutions in Hartford.

Membership requirements include attendance in at least three of the meetings held throughout the school year. Meeting dates are tentatively scheduled for November 17th, January 26th, March 15th, and April 26th from 4-5 p.m.
