Greetings Community!

Please note: The Savin Rock Fireworks Spectacular, billed as "They Will Be Heard on the 3rd," has been POSTPONED to the rain date of July 5, with fireworks beginning at 9:15 p.m.

With the report of potential rain, wind, or lightning leading up to the display, bringing thousands of viewers to the beach, causes a public safety concern.

The fireworks blast off Bradley Point and explode over Long Island Sound, dazzling crowds along the city’s 3 miles of public beaches. The fireworks spectacular is the city's largest one-day event, attracting tens of thousands of residents and visitors to the West Haven shoreline each year.

Live music will be performed in front of Savin Rock from 7-9 p.m.

During the afternoon and evening, a fleet of food and dessert trucks will offer up great food on Captain Thomas Boulevard, near Dyke Street, and Ocean Avenue, near Dawson Avenue.

Please feel free to contact me at the Capitol at 1-800-842-8267 or by email at Trenee.McGee@cga.ct.gov if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Trenee McGee
