10 Bridges Along I-84 To Get Repaired

The state will repair 10 bridges along I-84 in Waterbury to improve safety and extend their service life. This project is part of the Connecticut Department of Transportation's (CTDOT) ongoing bridge preservation initiative.
 
The following bridges are selected for upgrades:

  • Bridge No. 01224A on I-84 East and Exit 23 on-ramp over Mad River
  • Bridge No. 01224B on I-84 West over Mad River
  • Bridge No. 01224C on I-84 East Exit 25 off-ramp over Mad River
  • Bridge No. 01229A on I-84 East over Pierpont Road
  • Bridge No. 01229B on I-84 West over Pierpont Road
  • Bridge No. 05774A on I-84 East over Mad River
  • Bridge No. 05774B on I-84 West over Mad River
  • Bridge No. 06284 on I-84 East Exit 25 ramp over Mad River
  • Bridge No. 06580 on I-84 West Exit 25A over Beaver Pond Brook
  • Bridge No. 06590 on I-84 East Exit 23 on-ramp over I-84 East Exit 25 off-ramp

The design phase of this project is expected to be completed by August 2027.
