Mask Update and Budget Predictions

September 16, 2020
As the COVID positivity rate remains above 1%,  lets remember the steps we can take to stop the spread of the virus. Mask wearing is one important step. I don’t know about you, but “mask etiquette” is still something I am getting used to and I’m constantly being reminded of best practices. Behavior changes take time. Check out this video for some tips about how to safely use fabric masks.
  • Use the loops to take your mask on and off
  • Do not touch your mask while you are wearing it
  • Be sure your mask covers your nose, mouth and chin

State Budget Conversation

The Connecticut Mirror’s Keith Phaneuf and Connecticut School and State Finance Deputy Executive Director Lisa Hammersley will join Reynolds Strategy Group for, "A Discussion on Connecticut's Budget, Where it Stands Today & Where it May Stand Tomorrow"

Keith and Lisa are known at the Capitol as two people who are very well informed about our budget as well as the budget process. I am certain this will be an interesting and engaging conversation. It is open to the public, so feel free to join in and see what they predict.

The named storms keep coming and we need to make sure we are prepared. Now is the time to do so – before another storm heads our way.

Check out the American Red Cross and Ready.Gov for tips on what you can do to be prepared not just for this storm season but for any number of natural disasters that could impact us here in Fairfield.

As we watch our fellow Americans out West face deadly fires, we see the power of Mother Nature and recognize that we have to do everything we can to be prepared.
